Installing Phillips SpeechMike Pro

Before installing Audio Collector v6 for use with a SpeechMike. Please follow the directions below to get the SpeechMike installed first.

1. Before you connect the SpeechMike, place the CD that arrived with your hardware in your CD-Rom drive. If the CD-Rom is not set to autorun, you will have to navigate to the drive and open Setup.exe

2. At the main menu of the CD choose the Install option at the top of the list. It is circled in blue below.

3. Click Next at the next screen.

4. To continue the installation you must accept the license agreement , click Yes.

5. From the next menu choose the SpeechMike that you purchased. By default we support the SpeechMike Pro USB. If you are not sure, please choose this option (circled below) and click Next.

6. Please choose the option that fits your harware. By default we support the SpeechMike Pro USB (6274). Please choose this option if you are not sure which device you have. Click Next when done.

7. DESELECT everything EXCEPT SpeechMike Driver. The only item that should be checked is circled below. Click Next when done.

8. Once the install is complete, click Finish.

9. Once the install of the drivers is finished. Connect the SpeechMike to an available USB port on either the front of back of the computer.

At this point the hardware should install and be ready for use. However the computer should be rebooted just to make sure everything is working properly.
